Rooted Leaf cotton tees are made of ultra-premium, sustainably-grown cotton (Gossypium hirsutum). The long fibers are almost pure cellulose, and form as a protective casing over the seeds.
Cotton is in the mallow family, and it is one of the only species that is not edible. Other and more edible relatives include chocolate, hibiscus, and okra.
